Off to a cold start, this winter season has been packing a punch. Such a shock in extreme temperatures will undoubtedly help the Florida Keys fishing in the long run. Expect an awesome spring gamefish season this year for the lower Keys flats and backcountry inshore waters. Currently, our aggressive schooling fish are in-charge. Barracuda, sea-trout, pompano, jacks, mackerel, cobia, and snapper. A great time of year to have fun and bring home a few for dinner. Tarpon and bonefish have packed it south until warmer weather prevails. Expect good permit fishing on the warmest days right now.
