    This is a one of a kind flats fishing skiff. Eighteen feet long, four feet wide, weighing just under 400 pounds completely rigged with fuel. To say it floats in very shallow water doesn’t give the skiff justice. It is most likely the shallowest floating flats fishing skiff in the entire state of Florida, boasting a true 3 inch draft rigged with angler and guide! This opens doors when fishing the lower Florida Keys during favorable conditions. When able to quietly float in such a shallow depth, most flats fishing boundaries suddenly disappear.

    With a completely flat bottom hull design, this skiff requires calm weather conditions often found during late spring, summer, and fall (late May thru October). Along with it’s ultra-shallow draft, there is zero slap against the hull. Meaning it is dead quiet in the water, making it the perfect tool for sight-fishing shallow-water permit and bonefish where “tailing fish” are common. An absolute great skiff for fly fishing calm days in the Lower Florida Keys!

    Powered by a twenty five horse power Yamaha, this skiff makes a surprising 30 mph underway. It’s long overall length enables for yet an even more surprisingly calm ride, capable of handling weather conditions with wind less than 15 mph. That’s not bad when considering the average Lower Keys annual weather patterns. It’s shallow water capability, functionality, and small engine make for a very small environmental footprint; yet another reason to fish this skiff!!
